Research Engineer

David Anderegg is a Research Engineer at Supercritical, specializing in CFD-based aerodynamic shape optimization workflow development.
Mr. Anderegg received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the ZHAW School of Engineering, where his thesis focused on implementing the SST turbulence model in a gradient-based optimization framework and analyzing the results. Before his master's, he earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Aviation from the ZHAW School of Engineering.
Before pursuing his academic career, Mr. Anderegg completed an apprenticeship as a machinist (Polymechaniker EFZ) at Stahl Gerlafingen AG and served in the Swiss Armed Forces. At the ZHAW School of Engineering, Mr. Anderegg worked as a Scientific Assistant and later as a Research Associate at the Institute for Mechanical Systems, gaining valuable experience in CFD and optimization.
At Supercritical, Mr. Anderegg leverages his expertise in CFD workflow development to tackle complex cases that require automatic mesh regeneration for large shape changes.

Global pioneers in computational design optimization, we offer breakthrough engineering solutions backed by exceptional research and industry-leading expertise.
